COVID-19 Update:
__
The pandemic has affected everyone worldwide and 2020 goes down in history as a lousy year for most people, myself included. Like many others, I lost a full time job in the Live Events industry and have been scraping by with part time and contract work as a freelancer, both as an IT/AV technician and photographer. I’m still seeking a full time career in either industry…
__
Mission Statement:
I seek to build solid, long-term relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors; in a stable environment where we can enjoy an atmosphere of mutual fulfilment while pursuing a vision of excellence. After 25 years in the gig economy— a nationwide touring show, many seasonal showbiz jobs, owning my own business, and the 24/7 schedule demands of full-time jobs in the live event industry —I am wishing to settle into a career with a single employer and a stable schedule.
__
Opening Summary:
As a small business owner, contractor, and freelancer in the Live Event (Audiovisual Production) and Journalism (Photography) industries, my career has been defined more by the assignments, events, and shows I worked and managed rather than just the names of my full and part-time employers that you look for on most resumes. In order to illustrate the details of my experience, this resume is color-coded to identify industries, and indented (with font size change) to distinguish between full time, part time, and contract work, while remaining in chronological order.
